Bayan Nur

(Mongolian:; Traditional Chinese: 巴彥淖爾; Simplified Chinese: 巴彦淖尔) is situated in due north of China and

the west of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, with a total area of 64,4000

square kilometers and population of 1,760,000, is a bright pearl inlaid on the

big curve of the Yellow River.

Until December 1,

2003, the area was called the Bayan Nur league.Bayan Nur city has an area of

65,788 km2. It borders Mongolia to the north, Alxa to the west, Ordos to the south and Baotou to the east.In Mongolian, Bayan Nur

means“rich lake”, with 29 minorities under control. Early in the primitive

society our ancestors began to multiple their descendants here and commonly

created the splendid Hetao culture, making indelible contributions to

civilization and advance of the world.

Bayannao'er City

governs one district, two counties and four Qi, including Linhe District,

Wuyuan County, Dengkou County, Hangjin Houqi, Wulate Qianqi, Wulate Zhongqi and

Wulate Houqi. Bayannao'er means an abundant lake in Mongolian.

Bayan Nur in the

west of Inner Mongolia autonomous Region acts as the key channel of connecting
