Located to the north of Qing-Tibet Plateau,

west to Qinghai Province,

south to Tibet, north to Gansu Province,

west to Xinjiang and east to Hainan Haibei Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture,Haixi Mongol Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture is the center zone of

Qinghai Province, Gansu Province, Xinjiang and Tibet. As a part of “Silk Road”, Haixi is one of the most important way for

the communication of Oriental and western culture. Covering an area about

300900 square kilometers, which is 41.7% of the whole Qinghai Province,

the population in Haixi is 410 thousand with 29 ethnic Groups and Mongol and

Tibetan are the main body.

There are totally two cities, three towns

and three administration committees under Haixi, including Geermu City,Delingha City, Touraine Town, Wulan Town,Tianjun Town,

Dachaidan Administration Committee, Lenghu Administration Committee, Mangya

Administration Committee, which is rare in China.

Haixi has a lot of tourism resources, among

which the major attractions are The Grave of Tubo Regine Period in Dulan

Country, Nuomuhong Talitaliha Cultural Remains. The landscape of world ridge of

a roof and the interior geography formed the unique and featured natural

scenery and artificial scenery in Haixi. The fountainhead of Yangtze River,

Yadan Landscape, the Gebi Desert, the Castle in the Air, Millenary Glacier,

Yanqiao Bridge, Kunlun Mountains for Taoism Holy Land, the Jade Pool, Kekexili

Nature Reserve, and Dulan International Hunting Field and so on.

Climate in Haixi belongs to Plateau

Continental Climate. The yearly average temperature is -5.6℃-5.2℃ and the yearly average rain fall is 16.7—487.7mm. May to September is the

best season to Haixi, especially in summer.
