Overview



Suqian is a new city founded in 1996, which serves as an important central city of bridgehead for the new Asia-Europe groups cities. It has geographical advantages with a population of 5,061,576 million and a city total area of 8,660 square kilometers.



Suqian is a famous city of aquatic products with the crab yields being the first in China, owing to the fact that it has two lakes, one is Hongze Lake, one of the four freshwater lakes in China, the other being the Luoma Lake. Besides, Suqian is a home of famous wines.



Suqian is abundant with tourism resources, Hongze Lake and Luoma Lake are in all their majesty, a vast expanse of misty, rolling waters; the Temporary Imperial Palace of Qianlong built in 1681 is imposing; and the magnificent native place of Xiang Yu; beautiful Zhangshan Forest Park etc. Meanwhile, the people are building it into a garden city.
